  Full Description
Rabbi Yehonatan Eybeshitz's unique works and his complex Divrei Torah are arranged in an organized fashion, thus making them accessible and understandable. Rabbi Shalom Hammer also includes his own additional, timely and insightful commentaries that reveal new insights to share around the Seder table and invites the reader to "experience redemption."
By developing this Haggadah, Vayaged Yehonatan, the author presents Rav Yehonatan's mastery in connecting seemingly diverse fields into one discourse. Because many of Rav Yehonatan's seforim have never been translated to English, the author appealingly conveys the translations that focus upon a specific area of Torah, such as halacha or aggada, Tanach or Talmud, Parshanut or Midrash.
Famed not only for his Torah wisdom and greatness but also for his worldly knowledge, Rav Yehonatan was in contact with the Christian leaders of his day, debating religious and philosophical issues. The posthumous printing of so many of his works is testimony to the profound influence his oral teachings and character had on his contemporaries.
Shalom Hammer served as rabbi of Beth Jacob Congregation, Columbus, Ohio. Rabbi Hammer taught at Yeshiva Bnei Akiva Netiv Meir and Machon Gold College for Women in Jerusalem and he is the founding Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Ohr Hadarom in Rehovot, Israel. Shalom has served in the rabbinate of the Israeli Defense Forces and currently he teaches in the Yeshivat Hesder Kiryat Gat, an affiliate of Yeshivat Hesder Sderot, Israel.
