Elderberry acts to inhibit the enzyme flu viruses use to penetrate our cell membranes and also prevent the virus from invading respiratory tract cells. Elderberry extract contains a special class of flavonoids called
anthocyanins that are recognized for their role in stimulating the body’s immune system response. They are especially good for bronchitis, colds, coughing and influenza.
