The Miri Collection presents you with a unique, exquisite challah board, handcrafted and designed by Miri.
From the trees of Dodgeville, WI, comes this unique challah board from furniture-grade wood known as Tilia, otherwise known as Basswood. Tilia trees are mostly large, deciduous trees typically 65-130 feet tall, a fine, straight grain material with an even texture. This cross-cut round shaped plaque has natural bark around the outer edge and are kiln-dried to a 6-10% moisture content. And Basswood won’t warp or crack.
At Miri Collection, we prepared the wood with the finest mineral oils for use with your delicious challahs. From hand engraving to oiling and staining, one can feel the sense of creativity, meaning, and warmth it brings to your Shabbos table. Variations or ‘imperfections’ in the product’s finish are characteristics of the creation process and is what makes us stand out at Miri Collections. Due to this handmade nature, no two pieces are ever alike.
As a wood product, your challah board will grow with you for years to come, with memories of each and every Shabbos meal. A conversation item, a piece of art, a certain feeling of connection will be felt.
We hope you enjoy this beautiful challah board as much as we loved designing it for you!
