Heroes to the End

Heroes to the End is Rav Ephraim Oshry's personal, eyewitness account of the destruction of Lithuanian Jewry -- but also of the nobility and devotion of the Jewish soul. Rav Oshry, zt"l, as a posek in the Kovno Ghetto, came face-to-face with the heart-rending shailos of his fellow Jews, so he was uniquely positioned to appreciate their greatness. Incredibly, time after time, many everyday Jews sought Rav Oshry's guidance as to how they could continue to serve Hashem even in their desperate circumstances. This unique chronicle is thus a testimony not just to the wickedness of the nations who perpetrated the atrocity of the Holocaust, but also, more importantly, to the spiritual greatness of the Jewish people.
