The Helping Heroes - Comic

Shloimy Schwartz always dreamed of being part of a club, but with no friends in school ... who'd want to join him? When a hurricane threatens his small town, Shloimy knows just what they all need: a Helping Heroes club - a group of strong, smart, brave and resourceful kids who will help the residents deal with the storm and its results. But his plans seem to hit a snag when Shmuel, Shmaya, and Shaul walk into his room ... The four boys head out on a wild, heart-stopping journey in which they not only save Shloimy's father, but learn valuable lessons about disability, dealing with challenges, and accepting those who are different tahn us. The Helping Heroes was first published in Hebrew in Kinderlein children's magazine and received enthusiastic feedback from parents and educators for its novel approach to teaching children about disabilities and accepting others.
