A Century of Growth

“Many, many stories will be told about each one of my followers,” said Rebbe Nachman. “Through stories a person purifies his mind…and mitigates misfortune and judgments.” And, he said, “telling stories about tzaddikim draws the light of Mashiach into the world.” Rebbe Nachman, the Rebbe and founder of Breslov Chassidut, passed away over 200 years ago, and there has never been another Breslov Rebbe. Yet amazingly, though met with extreme adversity at every turn, the Breslov movement grew and flourished. The inspiration and energy that Rebbe Nachman’s handful of early followers gained from his teachings changed their lives and, ultimately, the lives of hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. Rarely has a movement seen such unlikely success. This volume highlights the lives of many of Breslov Chassidut’s leading luminaries from the early 1900s until the present day.
