Derived from the word Binah, meaning understanding and comprehension, Hisbonenus involves engaging the entire spectrum and capabilities of the mind, encompassing the whole of ChaBaD: Chochmah / Wisdom or spark of Intuition, Binah / Analysis and Understanding, and Da'as / Knowledge and Integration.

Although Hisbonenus requires deeply analyzing a subject, its objective is not to turn one into a 'walking encyclopedia' of mystical concepts but rather to experience Deveikus.
Hisbonenus represents a profound mode of thinking that ultimately leads to a state of consciousness beyond thinking and the transparency of egoic self.
