Daf Yomi Siyum Commemorative Medallion

Following the tradition established by Max Stern Z’L in nurturing philately, numismatics and dedicating his life in upholding Jewish ideals and way of life, it is a great honour for Max Stern & Co to release the DAF YOMI 13th SIYUM HASHAS COMMEMORATIVE MEDALLION.

Max Stern Z’L was born in Pressburg, Slovakia survived the Holocaust and came to Australia almost penniless, and went on to establish a Stamp & Coin business known today throughout the world. This is a testament to his endurance, strength and positive outlook in life. From the ashes of the Holocaust, it is a privilege for Max Stern & Co to commemorate the Daf Yomi Siyum in Klal Yisroel, highlighting that 70 years after the destruction of European Jewry, the Torah is alive and lives on!

According to Mr Barry Seigel (a grandson of Max Stern), who created the concept of the medallion, it will be released in limited numbers, boxed and encapsulated with certificate of issue, and made available to all worldwide Siyumim.

The 13th Siyum Hashas of Daf Yomi Commemorative Medallion depicts, on the obverse Rav Meir Shapiro, the founder of Daf Yomi, whilst on the reverse, the globe overlapped by the Talmud.
