About the authors:
Dr. Jennie Berkovich is a board-certified pediatrician who earned her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University and completed her pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (formerly Miami Children’s Hospital). During her training, she received the Senior Resident Teaching Award and was named ACOP Resident of the Year. Dr. Berkovich currently serves as Vice President of Physical Health at Hazel Health and practices clinically at Midwest Refuah Health Center. She is also the Director of Education for JOWMA and is deeply passionate about community health education and advocacy. She lives in Chicago with her husband and children.
Miriam “Mimi” Knoll, MD, DABR is CEO of the Jewish Orthodox Women’s Medical Association (JOWMA), a non-profit public health organization serving the Orthodox Jewish community and supporting a network of Jewish women physicians. She is a radiation oncologist and Medical Director of Digital Engagement at Northwell Health in New York. Dr. Knoll received her medical degree at New York University School of Medicine and completed her radiation oncology training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NY.
